Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Tyler, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Description
- 36 private rooms serving patients from young adults to geriatric.
- Focus on medical level cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions such as cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant.
- Also admits hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.
Shift
- 3 shifts of 12 hours each, night shift
Patient Ratio
- Approximately 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
