Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position

Location: Albany, New York
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have Epic experience.
• Navy blue scrubs are required.
• Candidates local to certain ineligible counties will not be accepted (effective 1/11/2024).
• Experience in a Level I trauma center is highly preferred.
• Ability to float to various ICUs is highly desired.
• Must be comfortable and competent caring for ICU patients in the following units/environments:

  • Neuro/Trauma SICU
  • MICU
  • CPS/VICU
  • CCU
  • Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU)
  • ICU/PACU and ED patients awaiting bed placement.
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Emergency Department (ED), and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Work Schedule & Hours

• Approximately 36 hours per week.
• Specific shift details not provided.

• Floating to other units may be required.
• Competency testing and verification processes are part of the onboarding.
