Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)
Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours (guaranteed)
Weekend Hours: On call
Call Requirements: More than 12 days on call
Unit Profile
- Department: Cardiac Cath Lab (Interventional Cardiology)
- Number of Openings: 1
- Float Requirements: Interventional Radiology (on occasion)
- Number of Beds: 90
- Patient Population: Adult
- Equipment: GE Fluoroscopy, transitioning to CHANGE for hemodynamics
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
- Procedures Covered: Cath lab, stress testing, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), tilt table testing
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Coronary artery disease (CAD)
- Required Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Interventional Cardiology/Cardiac Cath Lab)
- Preferred Skills: Experience with manifold systems, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), intravascular lithotripsy (IVL), Impella device, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), pre/post unit care
- Personality Fit: Team player
- Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Information
- This role requires flexibility to float to Interventional Radiology occasionally
- On-call availability is required for more than 12 days during the contract
- Candidate must be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment and performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
