Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (RN - ED)
Location: Brighton, Colorado
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing (Travel/Contract)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Job Summary
- Perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care and health status through ongoing data collection.
- Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy directly or through delegation and supervision.
- Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
- Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- May float to other departments within scope of competency.
- May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with recent ED experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Additional certifications relevant to the Emergency Department.
