Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (1:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 5 days per week)
On-Call: During the week and every other weekend
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Number of Beds: 13
- Number of Staff: 30 (RNs and CVTs)
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- Shift Coverage:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM or until all cases are completed
- Night Shift: On Call
- Equipment Used: Phillips and GE
- Documentation Systems: Meditech, Mac Lab
- Call Requirements: After hours, weekends, and major holidays
Typical Procedures
- Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
- Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
- Peripheral Procedures
- Structural Heart Interventions
- Electrophysiology (EP)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- ARRT
- CRT
- RCIS or RCES
- Cath Lab Tech Certification
Additional Preferences
- Previous cath lab experience preferred
- Ability to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
