    Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Los Angeles, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Position Summary

    • Perform a complete range of CT exams, including Code Stroke, CTA, Abdomen, Pelvis, Chest, Heart, CT Biopsy, Spine, Chest tube placement, Extremities, and Facial bones.
    • May act as lead and assist in training and mentoring other staff members.
    • Patient age group served: Adolescents through Geriatrics.
    • Equipment used: Siemens (mandatory experience), Phillips.
    • Shift: Evening shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, every other weekend required; occasional morning shifts may be needed.

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid CT Technologist license in California
    • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
    • ARRT Advanced Certification
    • Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings

    Work Schedule

    • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
    • Evening shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
    • Every other weekend required.
    • Must be flexible to cover some morning shifts if needed.

    Compliance and Documentation Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
    • Emergency contact form prior to start.
    • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days.
    • Monthly updated EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
    • Education verification (highest level).
    • Physical exam within 1 year, confirming fitness for duty and free of communicable disease.
    • Negative 7-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant acceptable).
    • Immunizations/vaccinations or documented declinations required for:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • TB test (negative TSPOT, QGold, or 2 PPDs within 1 year)
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or 2 lifetime vaccines)
      • Hepatitis B (3-dose series, positive titer, or declination)
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
      • COVID vaccine or declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
    • Fit mask test within 1 year and annually if required by unit. Religious exemptions apply with documentation.
    • Facility-specific interim life safety measures prior to start.
    • Facility-specific photo for badge (white background, shoulders up) required by Tuesday prior to start.

    Competency and Training Requirements

    • Pass/fail Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams required for certain RN units (not applicable here but noted for awareness).
    • Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
    • Fire Card specific to Los Angeles required; 2-week grace period allowed after start if not obtained prior.
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training with in-person component required for certain clinical roles (not specifically required for CT Tech but relevant for clinical staff).
    • Harassment Prevention Training (1 hour for non-supervisory clinical staff).

    References and Employment History

    • Must provide at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
    • Employment application/resume required with at least 7 years of work history if applicable.
    • Two professional references from manager or above required for clinical candidates.

    Additional Notes

    • No time off (RTO) allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment.
    • Once time off is submitted, it cannot be changed except to cancel. Confirm all needed time off before submitting.
    • This is a travel/contract position requiring flexibility and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
