Work Schedule

• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Days)
• Call requirements: 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month (may increase based on department needs)
• May float to other facilities as needed

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room with focus on heavy Orthopedics, Urology, Spine procedures, and Robotic surgeries
• Assess patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons
• Use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records
• Participate in continuing education
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict professionally
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

Experience

• Specialty: Nursing (Operating Room)
• Required years of experience: 2 years

• Exposure to various specialty units and certifications is noted but not required for this role (e.g., ICU, Progressive Care, Cardiac Services, Emergency Room, Pediatrics, Neonatal, etc.)
