Registered Nurse - Psychiatry (Travel)
Location
- Moberly, Missouri
Assignment Details
- Travel position
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Patient ratio: 1:8-10
- Unit beds: 19
- No call required
- No floating required
- Scrub color: Any solid color
- EMR system: MedHost
- Blocked scheduling may be requested
- 48-hour weekly guarantees are not approved
Job Description
- Provide behavioral health evaluation of assigned patients
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care
- Assist nursing peers as requested
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within RN scope of practice
- Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Work in a Senior Behavioral Health unit within an acute care hospital setting
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- De-escalation training (SAMA or CPI)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working with geriatric patients
- Experience in an acute care setting
