Description
Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel)
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Overview
- 34-bed unit providing modified total patient care to general medical/surgical and surgical oncology patients
- Patient age range: Young Adult (18+) through Very Old Age (75+)
- 24-hour cardiac telemetry monitoring capability
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Typical staff per night shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 Nurses, 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Equipment includes Welch Allyn Vital Signs monitors and GE Telemetry Monitoring
- Electronic Medical Record system: MediTech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemotherapy certification (required to perform chemotherapy procedures)
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience

- Dress code: Navy scrubs
- Call requirements: Weekends every other weekend
