Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health – Inpatient (Evenings)

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care based on the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and physicians to develop and adjust care plans.
• Provide direction and oversight to licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in various clinical settings with diverse behavioral health populations.
• Educate patients and families regarding care, discharge, and aftercare planning.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
• Document and report all necessary information according to policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report any potential safety risks to physicians.
• Function as a clinical leader by delegating and coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
• May serve as charge nurse and be responsible for scheduling, staffing, and training direct care staff.
• Uphold professional standards, quality improvement, and organizational mission and values.
• Support a recovery-focused, person-centered approach in community residential settings.
• Maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in required programmatic training.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Psychiatric nursing experience within the last year.
