Registered Nurse – Med Surg

Location: Lander, Wyoming

Job Description

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including pre- and post-surgery care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes.
• Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, illness management, and post-treatment home care.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Participate in discharge planning and maintain accurate, timely patient records.
• Utilize effective time management skills.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wyoming
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
