Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location

• Mount Vernon, Ohio

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 - 07:00)
• Weekends required
• No call or floating required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Ohio
• Respiratory Care Practitioner with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• NBRC credentials
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Experience in adult critical care
• Experience in emergency department settings
• Bronchoscopy assisting experience
• Ventilator management skills
• ABG sampling and interpretation proficiency

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start
• Education verification from an accredited program
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and must be updated regularly
• Drug screening (9 or 10 panel) within last 12 months
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (no declinations accepted)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of vaccination or titers, no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (proof of vaccination or titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (exemptions require facility forms and mask-wearing)

Competency Requirements

• Unit-specific competency exams, updated annually
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable

Documentation and Onboarding

• Proof of 2 recent clinical references within one year
• Complete employment application including 2 years prior clinical acute care experience
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Facility-specific onboarding documents and policies to review and acknowledge
• Photo for badge ID required

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists seeking a travel contract with night shifts in an acute care setting, requiring strong critical care and emergency respiratory skills.
