CT Technologist

Location: Kimball, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days and Nights
Hours: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per day (40 hours/week)
On-Call:

• Usually 1 night per week (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• On call 1-2 weekends per month (Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 6:30 AM)
• 1 holiday required on call
• Response time: 15 minutes to clock in for trauma, 30 minutes for other calls

Job Responsibilities

• Perform imaging in both CT and X-ray areas, including CTA and general CT scans
• Conduct all types of X-rays: surgical, orthopedic, ER (no fluoroscopy)
• Start IVs, including some outpatient starts
• Float/cover additional areas: C-arm for surgery, DEXA scans, ER, MS, outpatient clinic, post-op (no off-site)
• Average daily volume: approximately 10 X-rays and 5 CT scans
• Use department-specific equipment: Shamatzu X-ray machine and GE CT scanner
• Utilize Evident EMR and AMIC/Phillips PACS systems
• No fluoroscopy or Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) on site
• Radiologist available off-site 24/7 for consultation

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Competency in both X-ray and CT imaging, including CTA and IV starts
• Open to first-time travelers

Orientation and Dress Code

• Department-specific orientation with paperwork and unit training during the first week
• Scrubs: any color allowed; scrubs not provided
