Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Beds: 12 L&D, 8 triage, 11 antepartum
- Staff: 72 total
- Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 tech
- Patient Ratios:
- L&D: 1 RN to 2 patients
- Triage: 1 RN to 3-4 patients
- Antepartum: 1 RN to 4 patients
- Equipment: Centricity, GE monitors
- EMR System: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Dilation & curettage (D&C)
- Hysterectomy
- Postpartum tubal ligation
- Cerclage placement
- External cephalic version
- Care of high-risk obstetrics patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Experience with Meditech EMR
