Registered Nurse (OR) - Savannah, Georgia
Job Overview
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
- Location: Savannah, GA
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days (10-hour shifts, flexible start between 6:00-6:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call: Required (one weekday per week, one weekend per 5 weeks) with a 30-minute response time
- Floating: Occasionally between two main ORs; no ambulatory surgery float
- Orientation: One week total (initial educator meeting plus 2-3 days with a nurse in the department)
- Dress Code: Navy blue or Ceil blue scrubs (not provided)
- Work Environment: Smoke-free, faith-based hospital

- Average Cases per Day: 30-40
- Common Case Types: General, Vascular, Robotic surgeries
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS Certification required
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- At least one previous travel assignment completed
- Versatility in multiple service lines
- Experience in Vascular Surgery

- Local candidate rule: Travelers must live at least 101 miles from the facility to be considered
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor duties include managing day and evening shifts and weekend coverage, involving case booking and patient prep
- Breaks: 15-minute morning break and 30-minute lunch break provided
- Scheduling: 4x10 shifts with call responsibilities
- Positive attitude and eagerness to work are highly valued
