Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Night Shift)

Location: Macungie, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: Approximately 12 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 40 hours

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• CT Technologist experience within the last year

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Comprehensive background checks covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including:

  • SSN Trace
  • County, State, Nationwide Criminal Search
  • Sex Offender Search
  • Education Verification
  • DMV check if driving is essential
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire.
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint clearance required within 90 days of start (all pages must be submitted).
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required within 90 days of start.
• Pennsylvania PATCH and Medicheck search results required within 30 days of start.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 2 months of start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as per guidelines (QGold or T-Spot within 90 days, or 2 PPDs with one within 90 days).
• Required vaccinations or proof of immunity:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – positive titer or vaccination series
  • Hepatitis B – positive antibody titer or completed vaccine series (declinations not accepted)
  • Varicella – positive titer or vaccination series
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (clinical staff must have vaccine or exemption).
• COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form.
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 60 days of start (9-panel without THC acceptable). Observed drug screens required if initial test is dilute.
• Respirator medical clearance required annually for respirator use starting 04/07/2025.

Competency and Testing Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months of start (minimum passing score 80%).
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for RNs and LVNs (passing score 88%).
• Pass/Fail testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs and LVNs except certain specialties (e.g., Behavioral Health, remote Telephone Triage).
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and pass/fail testing acknowledgment required.

Documentation and Administrative Requirements

• Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within the last 12 months.
• Complete employment application including 7 years of work history with explanations for gaps over 90 days.
• Education and license/certification verification prior to start.
• Photo for badge (new candidates starting 3/31/2025 or later): recent, color, forward-facing, no hats/masks/filters.
• Badge request form may be required for new candidates starting before 3/30/2025.
• Affidavit for provisional employment must be completed prior to start.
• COVID and flu declination forms required if applicable.

Additional Notes

• Background checks and health documents must be current and uploaded as required.
• Fingerprinting may be completed outside Pennsylvania but requires a $25 out-of-state fee (not reimbursed).
• Instant background or drug screens are not acceptable.
• Some certifications and requirements depend on the specific unit assignment; verify with recruiter or clinical lead.
