Sonographer (Peds Echo)

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (typically 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Summary

• Perform pediatric echocardiography and fetal imaging studies.
• Average of 8 scans/studies per day.
• Work primarily inpatient on the pediatric echo unit.
• Use Philips EPIQ7 equipment.
• Utilize EPIC and ISCV for EMR and PACS.
• No IV starts required.
• No weekend, holiday, call, or standby requirements.
• Department-specific orientation provided.
• Scrubs: Light grey or child-appropriate tops allowed; no need to purchase new scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) certification.
• ARDMS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license with an address more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Quality is highly prioritized: must provide two references, demonstrate experience, and have a clean professional history.

Additional Notes

• Candidates can only submit to one position at a time within the system.
• Previous permanent candidates must have been gone for 2 years before reapplying.
• Previous travelers must have been gone for 2 years after completing a full year.
• Travel teams must be submitted together.
• Only two candidates are submitted per opening; submissions may be held if the position is full.
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) or radiologist in-house support.
• Scrub color/dress code is flexible; no new scrubs required.
• Scheduling is typically Monday through Friday, day shift.
