Description
Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Naples, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with on-call duties
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide patient care in the Operating Room as part of the surgical team, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering care.
- Responsibilities include ensuring supplies are available, managing case timeliness, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgeries, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.
- Must be able to float between campuses as needed.
- Work according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, physician orders, and hospital policies.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner (experience required).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT Surgery, and Urology
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record system

- This is a travel assignment with an immediate start date.
- The position includes on-call responsibilities.
- Floating between different campuses is expected.
