Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Urology

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (Urology)
  • Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), holidays as needed
  • Weekend Requirement: No
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Floating: Yes, may float within scope to meet unit needs or between like units/sister facilities

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of clinic nursing experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in Urology
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) membership or certification

Important Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Proof of work eligibility in the US (I-9 attestation and documentation)
  • Copy of Driver’s License/State ID
  • Copy of Social Security Card or SSN verification
  • Annual background check covering last 7 years, including multiple state and national registries
  • Education verification (diploma or transcripts preferred as placeholder)
  • Primary source verification of active, unencumbered SC RN license
  • NURSYS verification required for RN licensure
  • Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
  • Drug screening: 10-panel urine drug screen within 90 days prior to start
  • Immunizations and health screenings:
    • Tdap within 10 years or declination form
    • Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or appropriate follow-up for positives
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/booster documentation
    • Hepatitis B titer, vaccination series, or declination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption (during flu season)
  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands, updated annually
  • COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
  • Clear, passport-style photo for badge required before start

Additional Notes

  • Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • Floating may be required based on unit needs
  • Radiation badge process may take 5-7 days; candidates cannot start floor duties without badge
  • All certifications must be current and not expiring within 30 days of start date
  • References: Proof of 2 clinical references required
  • Employment history verification of last 3 clinical employers required
