Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work in a high-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department with 20 beds.
• Patient ratios typically 1:4, may surge to 1:5.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
• No call requirements.
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon.
• Patient population: Various age groups and conditions.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience with Peripheral IV insertion.
• Knowledge and experience managing Stroke, Sepsis, and STEMI patients.

Work Environment & Dress Code

• Emergency Department setting with a focus on critical and urgent care.
• Scrub colors allowed: Black, navy, and royal blue.
• Unacceptable attire is specified but not detailed here.
