CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Night Shift

Location: Wickenburg, Arizona
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: Nights (mostly weeknights, some weekends as needed)
Hours: 36-40 hours per week, typically 3-4 shifts of 10-12 hours (e.g., 7p-7a or 4p-10p on weekends)

Job Summary

• Perform CT and X-Ray imaging studies within the scope of licensure.
• Cover multiple areas including inpatient, ER, outpatient, and urgent care settings.
• May need to float to urgent care or other radiology areas depending on experience and departmental needs.
• Average workload: 10-20 scans/studies per day.
• Responsible for starting IVs when covering CT procedures.
• No in-house radiologist; all images are tele-read.
• Use Shimadzu imaging equipment.
• Work with EMR system CPSI and PACS system ImageLink.
• Orientation period: 2-3 days.
• No call or standby requirements.
• Dress code: Clean and professional, no specific scrub color required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist.
• Certified CT Technologist with ARRT certification in CT and RT Registry.
• Must hold Arizona licenses for both CT and RT.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are welcome.

Scheduling Details

• Night shifts primarily 7p-7a (3-12 hour shifts) or weekend night shifts 4p-10p (4 consecutive shifts Friday-Sunday plus one).
• Weekend work required every other weekend.
• Holiday shifts rotate with permanent staff.
• Staffing: Typically 2 techs during the day, 1 tech at night.

• Number of scanners/rooms: 3 (including portable unit in Urgent Care)
• No use of RRA's (Radiology Registered Assistants)
• Supervision by Radiology Supervisor and Lead Tech
