Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Registered Nurse
Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM
Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the GI Lab / Endoscopy specialty, you will provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care according to established standards. You will collaborate with healthcare team members and maintain quality and safety in patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Job Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing patient assessments focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status
- Analyze data to determine nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans
- Implement nursing care skillfully and document accurately and timely
- Evaluate effectiveness of care and adjust plans as needed
- Maintain awareness of safety issues and follow emergency protocols
- Participate in staff development and maintain professional knowledge
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Uphold ethical standards and patient rights
- Utilize resources efficiently to prioritize patient care needs
