Work Schedule

• Day shift
• 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Includes scheduled shifts on holidays and weekends
• On-call assignments as needed
• Overtime as needed to maintain quality patient care

Job Summary

• Operate Nuclear Medicine equipment and provide immobilization devices as required
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
• Perform radionuclide procedures including organ imaging, function studies, and assist physicians in therapeutic use of radioisotopes
• Calibrate equipment and assay radionuclides
• Receive and inspect radiopharmaceutical packages following state and NRC guidelines
• Maintain records of radioactive materials receipt, use, storage, and disposal in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Ensure radiation protection for self and patients according to safety protocols
• Evaluate radio images using PACS system to confirm proper identification and diagnostic quality
• Maintain cleanliness and contamination-free conditions of rooms, equipment, and personnel
• Perform clerical duties including use of EPIC, Teletracking System, Nuclear Medicine Information System, patient scheduling, and computer processing related to patient studies
• Rotate work assignments as needed, including Cardiology and PET/CT
• Greet patients using A.I.D.E.T. communication standards
• Modify and deliver patient care tailored to specific needs such as age, culture, language, and disabilities
• Adhere to organizational policies and standards of behavior, attendance, and punctuality

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT or NMTCB certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Completion of high school diploma or an equivalent educational qualification
