ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Shift: Nights, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide critical care nursing in the ICU with potential floating to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/Stepdown) as needed.
• Must have strong Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) skills.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Strong Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) skills.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete a video interview if selected.
• Must pass a 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check.
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable).
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test with expanded opiates within 14 days before start.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – positive titer or 2 vaccines.
  • Hepatitis B – titer, series, or declination.
  • Varicella – positive titer or 2 vaccines.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct-Mar).
• Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters).
• Completion of facility-specific compliance and confidentiality documents prior to start.

Competencies

• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• Color blindness test if working in dialysis/kidney center (not applicable here).
• Annual skills checklist required.

Notes

• Candidate must be prepared to complete all credentialing and compliance documentation promptly after submission.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
