Description

Registered Nurse (RN) Float Position

Location: Ithaca, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM (Day Shift)


Job Overview

  • Float position requiring competence in at least 2 of the following 3 areas:
    1. ICU (minimum 2 years ICU experience)
    2. Med/Surg/Telemetry (minimum 1 year experience)
    3. Emergency Department (minimum 2 years ED experience, triage experience required; charge nurse experience preferred)
  • Bedside patient care role
  • Epic electronic health record experience required
  • Work schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year Med/Surg experience within the last year
  • ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
  • Emergency Department (ED) experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification or training
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
