Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Lone Tree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Labor & Delivery
- Beds: 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, 3 L&D ORs
- Staffing:
- Day shift example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
- Night shift: 1 charge nurse, 7-9 RNs, 1 CST
- Patient Ratios: Typically 2:1; 1:1 for complicated patients
- Equipment: FHR monitors (Novii and GE), FSE (fetal scalp electrodes)
- EMR Systems: CPN and Meditech
Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients, and high-risk antepartum patients
- Perform vaginal and c-section deliveries
- Deliver care through nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Direct and coordinate all nursing care on the unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mom/Baby, Pediatrics, and/or NICU patients
