Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Night Shift) - Contract

Lamar, Colorado

Full-time, 36 hours per week
12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm – 7:00 am)
Overtime may be required

Job Description

Provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit
Perform ongoing patient assessment and data collection
Develop goal-directed care plans prioritizing essential patient needs and unit resources
Respond efficiently to emergency situations following established protocols
Supervise LPNs, Nurse Aides, and assignments on the unit
Work in a high-stress environment requiring frequent crisis intervention and problem solving

Physical and Mental Demands

Constant walking and standing
Frequent reaching, twisting, squatting, lifting, and equipment handling
Frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases
Ability to remain calm and make independent decisions under pressure

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 3 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Reporting

Reports directly to the Acute Care Services Manager
