Description
Echo Tech – North Carolina, Chapel Hill
Job Summary
- Perform cardiac ultrasound evaluations.
- Communicate acute findings to Cardiologist and route studies for interpretation.
- Obtain pertinent patient health history prior to examination.
- Prepare procedure room and equipment for daily use; ensure timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment problems; report issues to supervisor.
- May perform staff training and education.
Schedule
- Either 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Or 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Total hours per week: 36
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Completion of a 12-month ultrasound program.
- BLS certification.
- Certification through ARDMS or CCI (including RDCS, RCS, ACS, or RCCS).
