Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Ft. Walton Beach, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
Schedule Details:

• Self-scheduling available
• STEMI call approximately 10 to 12 days per month
• Floating within Electrophysiology (EP) and Stress Lab departments

Unit and Work Environment

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of holding beds: 7
• Equipment used: GE Innova, Impella
• Documentation systems: MacLab, Meditech
• Procedures performed:

  • TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
  • PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) closure
  • Atherectomy
  • PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
  • Right and Left Heart Catheterization (R/LHC)
  • Impella and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) support
  • Implants
  • DCCV (Direct Current Cardioversion)
  • TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography)
• Dress code: Surgical scrubs provided by hospital
• Awards: Daisy Awards, Sunflower Awards
• Experienced staff and advanced technology available

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Skills and experience with:

  • Structural Heart procedures
  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
  • Impella devices
  • IFR (Instantaneous Wave-Free Ratio)
  • FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve)
  • PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
  • PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) closure
