Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Nights)
Location: Saginaw, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Job Description
- Provide nursing care using the Nursing Process: assess patients, develop and implement plans of care, document appropriately, and evaluate patient responses.
- Supervise and direct co-workers in implementing patient care plans.
- Oversee delegation of specific patient care tasks to unit staff.
- Patient population includes general Med/Surg patients such as oncology, obstetrics, hospice, medical, and surgical patients.
- Target patient ratio: 1:4-5 up to 1:7.
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (must be verifiable via LARA and/or Nursys).
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
- Med/Surg observation experience required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Work history and skills checklist relevant to Med/Surg specialty, current within 1 year.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
Additional Information
- Facility considers local candidates within a 50-mile radius for this 13-week contract.
- Scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; requests after offer may result in rescinded offers.
