Description
Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) - Temp Position
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare, and other facilities using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment. Perform exams ordered by physicians, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images. Perform EKGs as needed and transmit results for interpretation. Maintain equipment and vehicle, and communicate regularly with dispatch, management, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and process portable X-Rays and submit images to Radiologists for interpretation.
- Perform EKGs when required and transmit to Cardiologists.
- Transport and set up portable X-Ray equipment at various care facilities.
- Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol.
- Maintain professional communication with peers, supervisors, and clients.
- Maintain vehicle and radiology equipment in good working order.
Physical Demands
- Ability to push/pull equipment weighing 50–100 lbs multiple times daily (16 to 24 times).
- Use of vehicle ramps and pulleys reduces physical strain but some heavy lifting may be required.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in South Carolina
- Active ARRT certification
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
