Registered Nurse – Surgery (Travel)

Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Operating Room (Surgical Services)
Shift: Varied day shifts including 9-5, 11-7, 1-9, 3-11, and weekend daylight shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend/as needed
Call Requirements: Yes, 1-2 times per week with 8-hour call increments
Float Requirements: As needed
Patient Population: All ages
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Number of Beds in Unit: 22
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS certification
BLS certification
CPI or HWC certification
Must complete and clear all required Pennsylvania screenings prior to start, including:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
- FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (within last 2 years or new)
- PA State Police Clearance (PATCH)
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel

Preferred Experience & Skills

Charge nurse experience for RNs
Level 1 trauma experience
Robotic surgery experience

Work Environment & Additional Information

Dress Code: Blue scrubs provided; no casual wear allowed
On-call and off-shift flexibility required
Unit is a Level 1 Trauma Center with a technologically advanced surgical environment
Patient care includes a wide range of surgical specialties
Supervisor: Director of Surgical Services

Notes

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be willing to accept varied shifts and call responsibilities
This is a travel assignment requiring relocation or commuting from 60+ miles away
