Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care

Location: Breckenridge, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Hours per Week: 40

Facility & Unit Details

• Type of Facility: Nursing Home attached to a hospital
• Number of Residents: 38
• Room Type: Private rooms
• EMR System: Point Click Care
• Resident-to-Staff Ratios:

  • Day/Evening: 1 nurse to 20 residents, supported by 2-3 CNAs
  • Night: 1 nurse to 40 residents, supported by 2-3 CNAs
• Common Patient Diagnoses: COPD, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), congestive heart failure (CHF)
• Medication Dispensing: Blister pack cards
• Pharmacy: On-site
• Physician Availability: After hours coverage available

Job Duties

• Medication administration (med pass)
• Wound care
• Foley catheter care
• Ostomy care
• Supervising CNAs and TMAs
• No IVs or titratable drips involved
• RNs do not read cardiac strips

Scheduling & Work Requirements

• Shift Length Options: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts
• Scheduling: Block scheduling available based on need
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• No call or standby required
• No floating between units
• Orientation: Unit-specific orientation shifts provided as needed
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Minimum 1 year of Long Term Acute Care nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS Certification required
• Experience in supervisory roles
• Nursing Home experience

Additional Notes

• No prior travel experience required
• No clinical involvement beyond nursing duties described
• Radius rule: Candidates must live within 50 miles and may not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN at any related facilities within the past year
• Return to Office (RTO) required upfront; no additional RTO approvals after submission
