Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift and Hours

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 (option for 48 hours available)
• Weekend and call hours as required by the facility
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires full week availability

Unit and Patient Care Information

• Telemetry unit (Stepdown/ICU level care)
• Patient ratio approximately 1:6
• Patient types include post cardiac catheterization, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, stable myocardial infarction, post heart cath interventions, medical cardiac patients, pacemaker insertion, and medical overflow
• Equipment used: IV pumps, glucometer, GE monitoring equipment, computers
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year
• Experience in Stepdown and ICU (Intensive Care Unit) settings
• Competency with insulin drips, precedex, titrating nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and BiPAP

Preferred Experience

• Experience with post-operative surgical patients and trauma care on Stepdown units

• Dress code: Black scrubs or approved M-wear only

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 to April 1; declinations not accepted
• Assignment is auto-offer with flexible contract length options between 8-26 weeks
• Return to work (RTO) within 5 days or less requires making up the week on the back end
• Blocked scheduling requires facility approval
