Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Dialysis (Days)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
  • Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
  • Orientation dates available starting June 1 and June 8
  • Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
  • Night Before Orientation (NBO): 16 hours
  • Call back pay: 1.5x multiplier with 2-hour minimum
  • On-call pay: hourly rate provided
  • Charge/Preceptor pay: hourly rate provided

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact/multistate license valid at time of submission
  • Minimum 12 months of current Dialysis experience
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the past 15 months (no first-time travelers)
  • Experience with Fresenius dialysis equipment
  • Proficiency in blood transfusions and heparin administration
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Skills checklist specific to dialysis discipline
  • Professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or equivalent within the last 24 months (preferred)

Additional Notes

  • Candidates will be contacted quickly via phone call or text from a 405 area code
  • Local radius rule: candidates within 50 miles considered
  • Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the health system from working travel assignments in other markets within 12 months unless prior travel was not through full-time or PRN status
  • Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply as stated
