    Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Burbank, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
    Hours per Week: 40


    Job Overview

    • Outpatient Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse role in an ambulatory cardiology office.
    • Supports EP Device Division by managing remote reports and alerts.
    • Provides higher-level patient advice, triages urgent symptoms, and supervises stress tests.
    • Adult cardiac patients only.
    • Clinic setting with no weekend or on-call requirements.
    • No floating between units required.
    • Locals accepted but not required.
    • ASAP start preferred, ideally with a 2-week start window.

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California.
    • Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year.
    • Electrophysiology Lab experience.
    • CVICU experience.
    • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

    Certifications

    • BLS (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
    • ACLS (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
    • PALS (if applicable)
    • NRP (if applicable)
    • Other certifications as required by clinical track or unit.

    Compliance & Background Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID and Social Security Card (as applicable).
    • Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
    • Education verification required (nursing degree).
    • Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start.
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
    • Immunizations and health screenings including:
      • TDAP (within 10 years or declination)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
      • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
      • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
      • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
    • Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates.

    Additional Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
    • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years.
    • Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable).
    • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
    • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.
    • Epic charting system experience preferred.

    Facility & Work Environment

    • Ambulatory cardiology outpatient clinic.
    • Use of EPIC electronic health record system.
    • No weekend or on-call shifts.
    • No floating to other units required.

    This position offers a focused outpatient EP nursing role with a preference for EP and device management experience, suitable for RNs with 1+ year of relevant experience seeking a travel contract in California.
