Description

Registered Nurse – Home Health

Location: Meridian, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Days
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week


Job Overview

  • Provide home health nursing care within the Treasure Valley region.
  • Manage 5-6 routine patient visits per day.
  • Travel time between patient visits is typically kept to 15-20 minutes by assigning clinicians to tight geographical areas.
  • Weekend on-call rotation and evening availability required.
  • Documentation primarily done using EPIC Remote Client; issued laptop and phone provided.
  • Orientation includes starting and ending the day in the office paired with a preceptor; after orientation, nurses may start and end their day at home.
  • Patient appointment cancellations are managed by pulling visits forward to maintain a full schedule.
  • Overtime availability offered.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
  • Minimum of 5 years of home health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience in a home health setting

Additional Information

  • No point system for visits.
  • The role involves some weekend and evening on-call duties.
  • Technology transition underway from EPIC to Rover (potential use of iPad or computer).
