Description
Nuclear Medicine Technician - Travel Assignment
Location: Passaic, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Job Summary
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in collaboration with radiologists and a multidisciplinary team.
- Operate mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
- Process and transmit images to PACS.
- Provide quality imaging services requiring extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Jersey.
- Certification by ARRT or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute clinical radiology experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Completion of workplace violence prevention training (DCI/BVP).
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination series plus booster or completed declination.
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza (seasonal), and Tdap (declinations may not be accepted in some locations).
- Annual respirator fit test (3M 1860(s) or 3M 9205+ masks accepted depending on location).
- Tuberculosis test within one year of start date.
- Annual physical/health statement confirming fitness to work.
- National criminal background check within one year of start date (with some state-specific timing requirements).
- Drug screening within 60 days of start date (minimum 10-panel including THC; California locations require additional saliva THC testing).
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport).
- Completion of specialty and core competency exams with a minimum score of 80%.
- Submission of updated resume and two professional references (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor).
- Completion of agency attestation and employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation accepted).
- Annual color-blind test.
- Signed current job description (within the past year).
