Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU
Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Contingent Labor
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift:
- Day/Night rotation (07:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30)
- 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week
- Block schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday each week
Job Overview
- Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
- Support professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care.
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
- Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
- Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability.
- Participate in mentoring, teaching, committees, or projects.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for Minnesota.
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
- Minimum 1 year of recent travel RN experience.
- NICU nursing experience is required.
Additional Information
- Practice guided by ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and teach are essential.
