Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Contingent Labor
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift:

  • Day/Night rotation (07:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30)
  • 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week
  • Block schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday each week

Job Overview

  • Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
  • Support professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care.
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
  • Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability.
  • Participate in mentoring, teaching, committees, or projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for Minnesota.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent travel RN experience.
  • NICU nursing experience is required.

Additional Information

  • Practice guided by ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and teach are essential.
