Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Job Details
- Position does not float between units.
- On-call required: Yes, minimum one week of standby.
- Weekends and block schedules are not required.
- Expected patient ratio: 1:1.
- Facility type: Short Term Acute Care.
- Charting system: Epic.
- Parking: No fee.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation.
- Fit mask test (respirator fit testing) required for travel candidates, updated annually.
- Immunizations and screenings:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives.
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted).
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.
Background and Compliance
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- E-Verify attestation required.
- Education verification required for all candidates.
- State-specific searches as applicable.
- WA and OR state-specific requirements apply if working in border facilities.
- Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background).
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS.
- Float policy acknowledgment required; traveler may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
Additional Notes
- No 48-hour shifts approved.
- Color blind testing may be required on a unit basis.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams required as applicable.
- Radiation badge issued by facility if applicable.
- Work history verification required if exceptions to reference requirements are requested.
- Skills checklists required annually for applicable units.
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with acute care hospital experience and prior travel assignments who are comfortable working day shifts with on-call standby responsibilities. Strong Epic proficiency and compliance with comprehensive health, safety, and background requirements are essential.
