Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Radiology
Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Shift: Evening (3 PM - 11 PM)
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Job Summary
Provide safe, individualized patient care in Radiology by applying evidence-based nursing practices and standards of care. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients undergoing CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine/PET.
Essential Duties
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
- Identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop and coordinate individualized care plans through initial and ongoing assessments.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
- Document care according to standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for and support evidence-based practice and innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
- Collect comprehensive data relevant to patient health, including age- and disease-specific assessments.
- Recognize changes in clinical and diagnostic patient status.
- Identify patient/family education needs considering age, disease, and cultural differences.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in an acute care facility.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for New Jersey.
Additional Information
- Experience in Radiology nursing including CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine/PET preferred.
