CT Technologist

Location: Bakersfield, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts, 12:00 PM – 12:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday
Call Requirement: Yes, 30-minute response time
Dress Code: Teal scrubs provided

Job Details

• Perform CT imaging including brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, and cryoablation
• Average of 65 scans/studies per day
• Use of Canon 16 slice CT scanner
• Department has 1 scanner/room
• Use Radnet and Merge Unity for EMR/PACS
• No IV starts required (IR nurse handles IVs)
• May be floated to a nearby facility approximately 6.5 miles away
• Radiologist available in-house
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
• Reporting to Lead Technologist

Required Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification
• California CTI certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience

Additional Information

• Manager interviews required
• Call/standby required with 30-minute response time
• Floating to another location may be required on weekends (Fri-Sun) with 12-hour night shifts every other weekend
