Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

• Travel contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D preferred)
• Shift: Night shift, approximately 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 hours (3x12 hour shifts), occasional overtime available but no 48-hour requests
• Weekend hours: Minimal, only to cover core staff PTO
• Call requirements: None
• Float requirements: As needed within scope; no medical unit patient assignments

Unit Information

• 7 total rooms (including 2 labor rooms)
• Patient ratio: 2 nurses per shift; approximately 8 deliveries per month
• Equipment: Typical for L&D unit
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC

Required Certifications & Experience

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Labor and Delivery experience (minimum 2 years)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Experience with fetal monitoring
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Skills

• Confidence working independently in a small unit setting

Work Environment & Culture

• Small hospital with a close-knit, independent work atmosphere
• Facility-issued scrubs required

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions require approval)
