Unit Information
- Unit: Operating Room
- Number of beds: 29
- Staffing (varies by volume):
- Day shift: 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, clinical coordinator
- Night shift: 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, clinical coordinator
- Patient ratio: 3:1
- Equipment used: x-rays, preoperative equipment, anesthesiology equipment, lab, electrocardiography (EKG)
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Job Responsibilities
- Observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
- Scrub and circulator duties across all service lines
- Perform typical procedures including joint replacement, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Current certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Orthopedics experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS certification
- CNOR certification
- Charge nurse experience
Work Schedule & Requirements
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating weekends possible
- On-call requirements over a 4-week period:
- 2 weeknight calls (7pm-7am)
- 2 weekend 24-hour calls
- 1 holiday 24-hour call (if holiday falls within the period)

Dress Code
- Scrubs must be navy blue or royal blue
- Surgical-type scrubs are not acceptable
