Description
Registered Nurse - Infusion (Travel/Contract)
Location: Napa, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
- Start times vary between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM
- Floating between like units required
- Block scheduling possible at manager’s discretion
- Guaranteed hours with potential for one call-off every two weeks
- Locals not accepted; first-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of infusion nursing experience, with infusion experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification
- Must be able to float to similar units
Required Certifications (as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation approved
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation approved
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - if applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - if applicable
- Chemotherapy certification - if applicable
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - if applicable
- IV Certification - if applicable
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - if applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification - if applicable
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - if applicable
Note: Certification requirements may vary based on unit and clinical track.
Background & Screening Requirements
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification required for nursing degree
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Work history verification and references: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only)
- Fit mask testing required annually (travel only)
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Must complete Epic training modules as required by facility
- Float policy acknowledgement required
Notes
- Pending licenses are not accepted
- Return travelers with less than 30-day gap may have some background and drug screen waivers
- Prior travel experience is not required for this assignment
