Full-time, Day shift (7 AM - 7 PM)
Temp-to-perm possibility

Patient Population

Mix of patients across floors due to census:
- 9th floor: Rehabilitation
- 11th floor: Surgical and Respiratory

Job Summary

Provides routine and complex nursing care independently in a similar clinical setting.
Utilizes nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Manages psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers.
Expected to meet leadership competencies (Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders).

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
