CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Bellevue, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Perform quality CT exams across all department procedures, including Neuro, Body, MSK, CTAs, and Interventional Radiology procedures such as biopsies, ablations, and drain removals.
• Conduct 3D reformats, colonography, enterography, urograms, trauma scans, and dual energy imaging.
• Perform quality assurance (QA) tasks and help maintain department supplies and compliance.
• Use GE CT equipment (8 scanners: 4 with 256 slices, 3 with 64 slices, 1 with 16 slices), EPIC EMR, McKesson PACS, and Bar Code Medication Administration systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, families, students, and healthcare personnel.
• Floating within CT department locations under the same management.

Schedule & Work Environment

• 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week.
• Rotating day and night shifts.
• Call schedule includes 1 overnight every 9 weekdays (Mon-Fri) and 1 weekend overnight every 13 weekends.
• Never work alone; always paired with another staff member.
• Dress code: Red scrubs or red t-shirt with employer emblem.
• 6-week orientation for outside candidates with assigned preceptor, including IV line education and department-specific protocols. Mid-point progress check at 3 weeks.
• Non-billable orientation: 12 hours (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation).
• Call-off policy allows up to 36 hours off every 13 weeks.
• Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) and Radiography (R).
• Valid Nebraska Medical Radiographer License.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Proficient computer skills including basic navigation and email use.
• Ability to communicate effectively and multitask.
• Ability to handle difficult customer interactions and escalate as needed.
• Level 1 trauma center experience preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.

Additional Notes

• Must disclose any required time off during the assignment.
• Prior work at this employer within the past 12 months must be disclosed.
• Floating will remain within the CT department.
