Description
Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No regular weekend requirements; occasional assistance on Saturdays may be needed
- Facility is a 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital focused on recovery from severe injury or illness
- Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
- Patient ratio: 1 PT to 6 patients
- Common diagnoses treated: Stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, orthopedic injury, debility, hip fractures
- Rehabilitation programs provide customized, intense treatment tailored to individual recovery needs
Work Environment & Equipment
- Department: Therapy
- Equipment includes Lite gait trainers, walkers, Sci Fit machines, treatment tables
- Electronic Health Record system: Rehab Connect
- Shift type: Day shift
- Weekly hours: Approximately 35-40 hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Physical Therapist with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy
- Current BLS certification
