Description
Registered Nurse - Procedural (Vascular Interventional Radiology)
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 10-hour shifts plus approximately 5 on-call shifts per month
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a specialty procedural area. Responsibilities include patient care, assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures, administering medications and IV infusions, monitoring patient physiological data, and coordinating care with patients, families, and support staff.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor and intervene based on patients’ physiological data.
- Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
- Communicate care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and oversee their treatment activities.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience within the last year.
