Description
Job Opportunity: CVICU RN (Days) Traveler
Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Job Summary
- Registered Nurse with Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience required.
- Must have prior CVICU specialty experience (minimum years not explicitly stated, but experience is mandatory).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- CVICU experience of at least 2 years
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- DCI/BVP certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
Testing & Exams (Must score 80% or higher)
- Basic Pharmacology Exam.
- Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening.
- Core Competencies Exam.
- Specialty Exam.
- Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI/BVP).
Professional Requirements
- Updated resume reflecting recent work history (required at offer acceptance).
- Two professional references, including one from a manager or direct supervisor.
- National criminal background check within one year of start date.
- Signed current job description (within the year).
- Education verification (diploma, transcripts, or third-party verification).
- Agency attestation and employment eligibility verification (Form I-9).
- Badge photo (clear headshot, JPEG format).
Health & Safety
- Drug screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC saliva test (California-specific).
- Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work.
- Annual respirator fit test.
- Immunizations and vaccine requirements:
- COVID-19: Two vaccines plus booster or documented declination.
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive immunity titer.
- Hepatitis B: Complete series or immunity titer (declinations not accepted).
- Influenza vaccine or declination (declinations not accepted during flu season).
- Tdap vaccine as an adult (declinations not accepted).
- Varicella vaccination or immunity titer.
- TB test within one year of start date.

Professional Training
